If I am remembering correctly, those are the factory turn signals. The lights on the side of the headlights are the park lights only.

No, the ones on the corner are the standard ones.

Actually, I think I may have worked it out. American cars have to have orange side/parking lights and orange side markers. The rest of us have white parking lights usually mounted inside the headlights and don’t have to have any side markers so it must be something to do with that.

Grey market is the way to go. I had an 86 420SEC for a while. Gorgeous car with a sublime ride. Not fast by any means, but growled when you floored her. The nice things about the SEC was the backseats could fit a human and the trunk could fit a family of humans. Was hoping your review was going to end with a "now for sale!" ending. Gorgeous car.
